DAY 01 – AIRPORT / DAMBULLA / SIGIRIYA

Arrival at the Colombo International Airport. Clients will be met by their English speaking Driver/Guide and offer assistance.

Thereafter transfer to SIGIRIYA

In route visit DAMBULLA – the greatest of Sri Lanka’s cave temples, dates from the first century BC and contains over 150 Buddha i mages, subtly lit for maximum atmosphere. Actually a series of five caves, the temple is called Raja Maha Vihara by locals, but known simply as Dambulla to visitors. The entrance is marked by a large white dagoba along a long sloping rock face, from where there are views of the rock fortress of Sigiriya, about 20km away. Most of the caves were carved out by hand and some of the amazing array of Buddha statues are still attached to the wall.

DAY 02 – SIGIRIYA / POLONNARUWA / PASSIKUDAH

The second most ancient of Sri Lanka’s kingdoms, Polonnaruwa was first declared the capital city by King Vijayabahu I, who defeated the Chola invaders in 1070 CE to reunite the country once more under a local leader. While Vijayabahu’s victory and shifting of Kingdoms to the more strategic Polonnaruwa is considered significant, the real Polonnaruwa Hero of the history books is actually his grandson, Parakramabahu I.

After leave for Passikudah. Pasikuda beach recognized as one of the prettiest beaches in Sri Lanka, The sea crystal clear waters are very famous among travellers, especially passikudah beach in appropriate for the beginners in water sports also snorkelling

Temple of the tooth relic followed by cultural

The “Sri Dalada Maligawa” or The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a temple in the city of Kandy in Sri Lanka. It was built within the royal palace complex which houses the tooth relic of the Buddha, a tooth, which is venerated by Buddhists. The relic has played an important role in the local politics since ancient times, it’s believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country, which caused the ancient kings to protect it with great effort.
